Advent 2025, Day 10
Theme: Peace
Readings:
Reflections:
Look at the beauty of the scripture in Isaiah! The images of God speaking tenderly to his people, the prediction of Jesus, the words of Isaiah, which John the Baptist would later quote to prepare people for Jesus, are all incredible! Themes of sin, the brevity of life, the word of God, and exulting in the good news of God... All in today's reading alone! And this is just one snip from the larger book of Isaiah. There is a lot to meditate on here... what's popping for you?
As we turn to Matthew, we see words that Jesus himself spoke about the nature of our Father in heaven! God's love is big enough to care for the flock AND the individual wanderer. That's all of us, covered by the nature of God. Whoa. Meditate on these scriptures today. Write them down, or set an alarm to remind you of how good and true and beautiful our God is!
Songs (Two for Tuesday!):
Comfort, Comfort Now My People, by Page CXVI
Reckless Love (Acoustic), The Worship Zone
Bonus! My Advent 2025 playlist is ready for you to listen to on Apple Music. It's diverse, and it was so much fun to put together as I read through the scriptures and wrote this series.
NOTE the songs are on Apple Music, which you can get for a month for free if you are new... I just didn't want an obnoxious YouTube Ad ruining your quiet time :-)
